E' stato un piacere primo perchè ho potuto conoscerla meglio e secondo perchè ho scoperto una scrittrice di grande talento. Ciao Roberta benvenuta nel mio blog Italian Emerging Writers. Ti va di presentarti ai lettori?

I am an Italian writer of historical romances. I published my first book in 1997, is 'The Novels Mondadori' and I have never stopped. At the time I have published 21.

Your latest published novel is "The tale of Bella," Would you talk about? When did the idea for this novel?

This is a question which I can not ever respond. I do not know when or how the ideas take shape, usually the stories seem to sprout leaves and flowers and put on their own. But I know that I wanted to write something that had ambience di una fiaba moderna, e credo di esserci riuscita.

Quando e come è comiciata questa passione per la scrittura? E quando hai capito che poteva essere più di un semplice passatempo?

Ovviamente da bambina volevo fare la scrittrice! E ho sempre buttato giù qualche idea, un po’ come quel personaggio di Hemingway, che non faceva che dirsi: potrei scrivere di questo! Lui non c’è mai riuscito, io invece qualcosa ho messo insieme. Da quando ho iniziato a spedire dattiloscritti –e a vedermeli tornare indietro- la scrittura ha smesso all’istante di essere un passatempo ed è diventata something serious, which committed the mind and soul.

Tell us a little about your experiences for publication? It 'been easy or hard to find a publisher to publish your books?
first romance I wrote calibration for possible publication on the novels, and in fact they took him away. First I tried with another novel, but both the magnitude and the story was not appropriate, but I realized this later.


When you write in your mind you the first pictures are you going to tell people that I created, or before the plot of the novel?
Another hard question! Sometimes one sometimes the other, we say. The rest of the plot and characters are inseparable: certain events can not happen if not because of the presence of those characters.


As a writer of romance novels do you think that the literature "women" is letteari undervalued compared to other genres?
I can say that it bothers me, but I'm on my way to not be too distressed. The important thing is that I like. In addition, I developed a great pride 'category'. I have no problem to introduce as a writer of romance, or romance, indeed.


What is the book that you're more tied among those who've written?
I will not say. I had lots of fun to write 'The Return of the sailor,' one of my humorous romance: I remember bursting out laughing alone! It was a very pleasant, the words seem to write themselves.


For you, how important is the historical setting and the accuracy with which it describes?
For me the priority is to have the story (the plot) and the characters. A meno di non star scrivendo un vero e proprio romanzo storico, l’ambientazione costituisce lo sfondo su cui si muovono, non l’elemento principale.


Scrivi romanzi rosa. Cosa ne pensi tu dell'amore?
Che vuoi che ti dica? A costo di essere banale, penso che sia il motore autentico della vita. L’amore è ovunque, e si incarna in ogni cosa.


Cosa ne pensi delle altre scrittrici rosa italiane?


Credo che stiano facendo un buon lavoro, aprendo spazi al romance ‘Italian Style’.


Quali sono i tuoi progetti futuri? Hai in cantiere altri romanzi per le tue lettrici?
Sto scrivendo un’antologia natalizia e poi, una volta terminata, passerò ad un paranormale di cui ho già scritto un centinaio di pagine. Inoltre nei primi mesi del 2011 uscirà un romanzo con Harlequin.


Hai blog o siti dove possiamo seguirti?
Non per il momento, ma mi sto adoperando per il sito.
