Davvero una bella manifestazione!
Ieri è stata la quinta o la sesta, ormai ho perso il conto, domenica di PIOGGIA consecutiva!
Una vera gioia per quelli con il nostro "problema" :-)la corsa!
Urgeva trovare una bella Tapasciata che però evitasse il più possibile gli sterrati ormai trasformati in vere paludi con tratti simili a sabbie mobili..

Ero partito dopo una settimana di fermo totale per via di un dolore al ginocchio, e oltre la paura di dovermi ritirare dopo pochi km per quel problema.. è intervenuta anche una crisi da mancato allenamento che stava per fermarmi dopo il 15° km, poi l'incoraggiamento dell'amico e collega che si vede in foto accanto a me, mi ha fatto proseguire ad un ritmo più lento per un paio di km finchè mi sono sentito meglio, fino al punto di improvvisare questa IMPROBABILE volata della quale l'epilogo è immortalato in questa foto!

Dear readers,
today we welcome another newcomer this time writer of fantasy: Molly Greenhouse aka Monica Serra, who presents his debut novel.

-Hello Molly is my pleasure to host you in my blog Italian Emerging Writers. Would you introduce yourself to readers? Hello. First, the pleasure is mine. This is a really interesting blog and I know that is this: I am pleased to be among the guests! Let me introduce myself briefly. Molly Greenhouse is a dynamic forty-two who has finally decided to devote himself "seriously" to his lifelong passion, namely writing. My first novel Heart of the Dragon is a fantasy published in 2009 with the publishing house Taarna Runde. Do not be fooled by the nom de plume, but in reality are very Italian. Molly is a pet name by which friends call me (my name is Monica) and the Greenhouse is nothing more than the literal English translation of my surname (Serra). Having written a fantasy novel, it seemed nice use of imagination in proposing a name and choose to keep it for publication was shared with the publisher. Moreover, even my favorite fantasy writer Robin Hobb, use a stage name ... maybe you can be a good omen!


-What is your relationship with writing and what they mean to you? When did you discover this passion?
I could not imagine my life without writing: it is a bit 'like breathing, essential to survival. I find that to leave my thoughts through a story is very relaxing and I finally found the courage to share my pleasure with others. In fact, I could not tell when I discovered I love writing. In elementary school I wrote stories and stories for my classmates and from then on I've always written, but everything always ended up in a drawer. Then, after a difficult period in which to write has helped me to dispel many fears, I finally found the courage to get involved Heart of Dragon and shows that it is never too late to realize their dreams.


-What do you usually do while you write? Do you have a particular creative process?
The creative process from which come my stories is a bit 'special. The idea may have originated from a landscape, a sentence from a face. There and then, when I realize that something hit me, I throw down a few lines on the first piece of paper that happens to me (much to the distress of my family, who are inundated with "pizzini" ...)
Gradually around those four words, characters begin to appear, places and stories and then I start to tell what is happening. The characters start to act on impulse which I have given them and then come to life to life. More than once I've had to put his hand to the plot of a story written because of some "out-sider" which was overwhelmingly in the limelight. Following the characters, through the places where they move, the story takes shape and I write all that I see happen, even in a temporally incoherent. Rarely know where a story is getting at, but when I went with the players at the end, then start "editing". In fact, it's a bit 'as opposed to a film I order sequences and systems so that la storia segua finalmente una linea temporale logica, dopodiché inizio la revisione. Questa è la parte che mi piace di più, anche se ti assicuro che è faticosissima: tra una scena e l’altra cominciano a inserirsi episodi che in un primo momento mi erano sfuggiti, oppure personaggi che avevo inizialmente creato come secondari fanno qualcosa che mi costringe a dar loro uno spazio imprevisto, con conseguente necessità di riscrivere gran parte del racconto.

-A cosa ti sei ispirata per scrivere il tuo romanzo d’esordio "Cuore di Drago"?

Cuore di Drago nasce dalla necessità personale di ritrovare un equilibrio perduto. Il percorso che ho voluto raccontare nel libro è quello di una ricerca, la stessa che io ho dovuto affrontare dopo un difficilissimo periodo della mia vita. Ambientare la storia in un mondo fantastico, ma tuttavia credibile, è stato fondamentale. Trovare la spada forgiata dal cuore dell’ultimo drago significa per ciascuno dei personaggi arrivare alla stabilità e da questa ricerca usciranno un po’ tutti vincitori, come è stato per me.

-Qual è stata la gestazione del romanzo? L’idea iniziale, successivamente, come si è sviluppata?
Tutto è nato da un paesaggio. Ero in vacanza in montagna, ma dato che non so sciare, mi godevo il sole e il panorama. Guardandomi intorno mi sono resa conto di trovarmi in un posto incredibilmente adatto ad ambientarci una storia fantastica. Così, a pagina 71, potete leggere l’idea da cui è partita la mia avventura: una valle innevata, avvolta dal silenzio ovattato e severo dei monti che la circondano… Tutto intorno a questa descrizione, la trama si è tessuta quasi da sola e i personaggi sono comparsi via via che la storia prendeva forma.


-Dalle tue descrizioni si nota che ami molto le montagne. Hai trovato ispirazione per l’ambientazione del romanzo nei luoghi in cui vivi?
I love to travel and there is so much in my description of what I saw. I tried to give a precise characterization Each character, even giving the good people of any defect that could make them credible and interesting. Annya is definitely a character that represents me, although I think I put a little 'Molly's in all those that appear in the novel. Among the female figures is particularly dear to me Rhian, but my favorite is Yoriko: I find it terribly human, despite the depository of great powers. My only regret is that he has given little space to the figure of the Sorcerer would be interesting to further his arrogant personality and irreverent at the same time, but in the context of the plot was not essential, so I simply make it appear only for the time necessary ..


-Cosa caratterizza questo romanzo? Secondo te qual è il suo punto di forza e per quale motivo i lettori che ti stanno leggendo dovrebbero acquistarlo?
Un appunto che mi è stato mosso riguarda la brevità del romanzo, che invece io ritengo uno dei suoi punti di forza. In effetti, Cuore di Drago è un po’ “anomalo” rispetto a una tradizione che vuole il romanzo fantasy lunghissimo e magari suddiviso in più volumi. Il libro è autoconclusivo e la trama si svolge in modo lineare e completo nell’arco delle circa 200 pagine che la compongono. Il mio obiettivo era quello di accompagnare il lettore attraverso la storia senza annoiarlo, so you do get to the end with the regret of having to turn the last page and close the book. I hope I did.


-Do you think you still devote to fantasy? What are your favorite authors?
in fantasy I think I found the best way to express myself. The genre lends itself very well to a manipulation of reality that allows you to create a credible story without giving too many logical explanations for what happens, entertainment and making the reader dream. To make you understand better, I consider the fantasy a bit 'as the modern evolution of the story. Characters, themes and environments come to some by the fantastic tales that speak of castles, princes, wizards and enchanted forests. Unfortunately, the modern world is not the kind with the same respect that was given in the past for sure, the tales enjoyed greater consideration than that given today to fantasy novels, considered a subgenre, especially in Italy. Yet there are real masterpieces of fantasy.
As for my favorite authors, is a question of one million euro. Certainly there are many, and to them for inspiration. Let's say I want to have clear and engaging writing by Robin Hobb, the extraordinary ability to characterize the tangle of plots and characters of George RR Martin and the fervent, incredible fantasia di Neil Gaiman. -Questa è la tua prima pubblicazione. Ci parli un po’ della tua ricerca di una casa editrice e di come sei riuscita a pubblicare? Un' esperienza positiva o negativa?
La ricerca dell’editore è stata mirata: se scrivi fantasy, è inutile inviare il manoscritto a una casa editrice che pubblica saggistica o gialli. Tra le varie proposte editoriali (alcune interessanti, altre assolutamente “indecenti”), ho scelto quella di una piccola ma seria casa editrice, Runde Taarn, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to see realized my baby. I found myself very comfortable with them, are serious and competent professionals. -Cosa ne pensi da autrice del panorama editoriale legato agli esordienti? Quali pensi siano i difetti e cosa dovrebbe essere migliorato?
Qui tocchiamo un tasto dolente e rischiamo di aprire una discussione infinita. Nel nostro paese, purtroppo, vige il malcostume di approfittare delle situazioni. Nel campo dell’industria libraria, molti si autodefiniscono editori e cercano di far leva sulle velleità e sui sogni di chi si presenta con un manoscritto per spillargli dei soldi. Non mi riferisco a case editrici che magari chiedono un piccolo contributo all’autore (il più delle volte l’acquisto copie proposto è minimo rispetto alla tiratura the book) because you do not call or Mondadori Feltrinelli, but those so-called publishers ads that are bombastic and devoid of any foundation to convince the writer to "public" spending a lot of euro and then having to deal personally damned distribution. Il mio secondo romanzo è già in mano agli editori, posso solo anticipare che ho cercato di staccarmi dai cliché (stavolta, niente draghi) e che il risultato finale ricorda i romanzi cavallereschi: spero di potervi dare presto notizie più dettagliate. Per il resto, sto lavorando a un altro paio di idee, sempre in ambito fantastico, anche se in questo periodo sono concentrata a combattere una battaglia personale molto difficile (gravi problemi di salute, purtroppo, ma io non demordo). Ok ci siamo!
Ieri sera ultima uscita Prima della Prima!
Dopodomani finalmente il mio tanto atteso debutto, Pavia, la mia Prima Vera corsa!
Sono emozionato come un bambino, all'idea del Microchip, il pettorale, i tempi ufficiali e tutto il resto..
è davvero strano, questo sport è fantastico.. penso sia davvero l'unico, il più democratico, che da la possibilità davvero a chiunque di partecipare a gare, perfino dove partecipano anche quelli che CORRONO davvero!!!
Non me lo potevo nemmeno immaginare che, passati i 40, avrei potuto ritrovare le emozioni delle competizioni che solo da bambino con gli sport praticati ho potuto provare!
Ad ogni modo, le sensazioni di ieri sera, anche se si è trattato di un uscita tranquilla in compagnia con qualche allunghetto ogni tanto, erano davvero buone.
Il mio obbiettivo per Domenica rimane sempre quello "modesto" intanto di arrivare in fondo alla gara e di arrivarci entro le 2 ore.. ma ammetto che nella mia testolina comincia a farsi largo un numero un po' più preciso ed ambizioso..1h 50'..ssssttt
ma per scaramanzia, non lo dirò ;-)

Ad ogni modo, pronti via, posso dire di esserne entusiasta!

Doveva essere una 21 km, ma causa maltempo dei giorni precedenti si è accorciata a 19!
Una volta tornato a casa, è stato davvero entusiasmante scaricare tutti i miei dati sul bellissimo programma dedicato, e per la prima volta non mi son dovuto fare aprossimativi calcoli a mano su medie e quant'altro!

le interviste stanno diminuendo di frequenza ma sono davvero presa dai miei impegni e dal mio blog principale e non ho davvero tempo infatti sono indietrissimo con gli ultimi autori. Oggi comunque leggerete la mia intervista fatta all'autrice esordiente Stefania Andrusiani .

1 - Ciao Stefania, benvenuta nel mio blog Italian Emerging Writers. Ti va di presentarti hai lettori?
Ciao a tutti, sono Stefania e sono nata a Piacenza nel 1966. Ho alle spalle una formazione culturale a carattere artistico; dopo il liceo artistico mi sono diplomata in pittura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera ed ho anche conseguito il diploma per Esperta in Comunicazione e Didattica dei Beni Culturali. Amo le arti visive, comprendendo la fotografia, il cinema, la televisione, il teatro, ma amo anche la musica, principalmente quella classica. Il mio strumento preferito è il pianoforte.

2 - Qual è il tuo rapporto con la scrittura e cosa rappresenta per te? Quando hai scoperto questa passione?
Alla parola preferisco la scrittura, più meditata. Scrivere mi permette di mostrare qualcosa di più rispetto al racconto verbale, essendo io una persona piuttosto schiva. Scrivere mi aiuta a sperimentare, a creare e a viaggiare con la fantasia. Prima di appuntare le idee sul foglio chiudo gli occhi e ascolto musica. Scrivere per me è pace dell’animo e tumulto della mente. Da giovane ho scritto i classici “diari del cuore”, quelli segreti, memore di una frase: “Scrivete, scrivete, qualcosa resterà”, che avevo letto all’epoca. Ho poi continuato a scrivere per gli esami scolastici e per la tesi in Accademia, infine per lavoro, ma non è stato uno scrivere creativo.

3 - Cosa fai di solito mentre scrivi? Hai un particolare processo creativo?
Inizialmente prediligo scrivere a ruota libera su fogli di carta, anche da riciclo, su taccuini creati da me. Viaggio con carta e penna, le tengo anche in tasca, così da fermare l’ispirazione. Le idee non seguono un ordine preciso. Scrivo tutto quello che mi passa per la mente. Scrivo anche con il computer, senza abbandonare mai il foglio di carta. Posso così riordinare meglio le idee grazie al taglia e incolla, grazie cioè alla versatilità dei programmi di videoscrittura. Tant’è che posso definire “La meravigliosa avventura di Elizabeth Reed” una favola per adulti. Sul comodino tengo autori vari, eterogenei: “James e la pesca gigante” di Roald Dahl, “Il brutto anatroccolo” di Andersen, Edgar Allan Poe, che adoro. Altro libro che leggo sempre con piacere è “Fiabe italiane”, fiabe raccolte e trascritte da Italo Calvino. Le fiabe, se lette da un adulto attento, possono svelare tutta la loro bellezza che comprende spesso anche un lato oscuro, tenebroso. Ad un fatto preoccupante spesso si contrappone una schiarita che tutti attendiamo dal momento in cui cominciamo a leggere la favola.

5 - A cosa ti sei inspired to write your first novel "The wonderful adventure of Elizabeth Reed"?

Altra fonte d’ispirazione è stato il Cinema con i suoi films musicali, il cinema soprattutto di altri tempi. Mi divertono i films il cui bandolo della matassa è alla fine di tutto, con colpi di scena e con il protagonista che si toglie la maschera lasciando tutti sorpresi. Un film che adoro è “I favolosi Baker” dove la protagonista è sensuale, indimenticabile sul pianoforte a coda mentre canta. Altra scena di rilievo è quella nel film “Pretty Woman” dove la protagonista ritorna nel negozio di chi l’aveva trattata male snobbandola, in una sorta di dispettoso riscatto. Per finire voglio ricordare la saga of "Angelica", the heroine of the past, in search of his only love.

6 - What was the gestation of the novel? The initial idea, then, how did it develop?

7 - How autobiographical is your book? Something you have in common with any of the characters? Or some episodes narrated?
I tried to put me in the least. I do not consider my life interesting enough. Something is still surfaced. Some feelings experienced by the characters belong to me. Per creare i personaggi ho così attinto alle più diverse caratteristiche delle persone con le quali ho avuto a che fare, riunendole con fantasia e creando così personaggi immaginari, ma che ognuno di noi potrebbe incontrare ovunque.

8 - Cosa caratterizza questo novel? In your opinion, what is its strong point and why readers are reading that you should buy?
The novel is born to dream of the player. It was conceived as a whirling history, ready for a film adaptation. The reader will be involved and is not going to continue reading. The chapters are often brief and their title, which anticipates the content, makes you want to continue to read further. It is a quite large volume, but the reading turns out to be fast. The characters reveal an intense joie de vivre that characterizes the evolution of situations.

9 - The protagonist of the novel is Elizabeth Reed. Where does questo personaggio così particolare? Ti assomiglia in alcuni aspetti?
Elizabeth Reed rappresenta una sorta di bellezza ideale. Anche il cambiamento che la segna è ideale. Pure nella vita reale certe volte si possono verificare cambiamenti radicali ed imprevedibili. Elizabeth è per me una sorta di “Avatar”. Certe sue qualità vorrei mi appartenessero, “in primis” la sua forza di volontà, la sua determinazione, inoltre la sua abilità al volante, la capacità di esprimersi in diverse lingue straniere. Ci accomuna la passione per l’equitazione e la musica.

10 - Il tuo è un romanzo di cambiamento e di crescita. Come mai questa scelta? Cosa volevi convey to the reader with your story?

In Internet ho letto di esperienze negative, di persone che si sono ritrovate allo sbando nella ricerca infruttuosa di un editore. Non mi sento in grado di dare giudizi su difetti o pregi a proposito del mondo editoriale non avendo una visione completa di questo mondo che si è rivelato essere complesso e sfaccettato.

13 - Quali sono i tuoi progetti futuri? Hai già un altro romanzo in fase di scrittura o in fase di pubblicazione? Can you give us some news?

Ci pensate che fino a 15 mesi fa ero un sedentario fumatore incallito da 50 sigarette al giorno che se doveva salire dal vicino del 1° piano, si fermava a metà a prendere fiato.. e che proprio ieri invece mi sono sparato 21 km di Tapasciata in quel di Spino d'Adda in Runningforum company of other friends and I made them quietly chatting!?!

Hello Alessandra, with pleasure, my name is Lisa aka Iavy Drake, 27 years old and I work in graphic design, writing for me has become a passion which I cultivated each day until I decided to try to throw and thus was born my first book "Between ligh and darkness."

What is the best thing about being a writer?

Fai qualcosa in particolare mentre scrivi? Parlaci del tuo processo creativo.
In genere ascolto musica è lei che mi accompagna nelle mie avventure notturne creandomi sensazioni e stimoltandomi nell’immaginazione.

Quali sono stati gli scrittori e i libri che più ti hanno più influenzata?
Cate Tiernan è stata determinante con la sua saga sulla Wicca, invece la fine di Breaking Dawn mi ha spinto a scrivere il mio primo romanzo anche se non ha niente a cui vedere con i vampiri, ma tante altre mi ispirano ogni giorno esempio Keri Arthur, Colleen Gleason, la stessa Rowling insomma chi più ne ha più ne metta.


Qual'è stato il tuo percorso di pubblicazione?
Ero dubbiosa se pubblicarlo, poi alla fine mi sono buttata ho chose seven publishing houses that produced and dealt with the emerging branch of fantasy and then I sent the story, three of which I responded, and I chose the most advantageous offer for me.


What inspired you to write your first novel, Between light and darkness? As it developed later?

Non male, letto così.. beh, sembrerebbe proprio che il mio obiettivo di chiudere una competitiva da 21 km sotto le 2 ore, sia già alla mia portata!

Beh.. oggi, che qualche kilometrino l'ho percorso, qualche secondo l'ho guadagnato e qualche battito cardiaco l'ho risparmiato, e che mancano circa 3 settimane all'evento.. non sono ancora sicuro se partecipare o rimandare il mio "esordio" nelle competitive!
Avrei un obiettivo piccolo piccolo.. chiudere under 2 hours, just a minute and I would be happy!

Ciao Maria benvenuta nel mio blog Italian Emerging Writers. Ti va di presentarti ai lettori?
Ciao Alessandra, grazie per avermi invitata e un saluto a tutti i tuoi lettori. Il mio nome è Maria Rosaria Ferrara, ho da poco compiuto 30 anni e sono una scrittrice esordiente! Bello, eh? Devo ancora abituarmi a definirmi una scrittrice, anche perché have an incurable dreamer and write part of my nature, but how nice to know and be able to say that he made one of my most important dreams. What is your creative process? Do something in particular while writing?
When I write I do not do anything special and I have no specific rites. For the writing of "Chrysalis" I take time in the evening when I stopped studying for university exams. Now I prefer to write in the morning, just woke up, before starting my day. But I usually write when the inspiration and this can happen at any time of day, anywhere.


What do you like about being a writer? What are the main difficulties?
The best thing of course is to see my novel as I have always dreamed of, with a beautiful cover and how you can browse all the books I've always loved. It 'nice to know that I can share it with many people and that the reader is able to get excited just like I hoped. But it's not that simple. Having published only one of the stages, a goal but not the last. Published with a publishing medium-small (or young, as my publisher prefers to be called the Eiffel) significa doversi fare molta promozione autonoma, essere presente quanto possibile in libreria a far notare il proprio libro ai clienti che altrimenti si indirizzerebbero sempre verso i titoli dei grandi marchi, e inventarsi ogni giorno modi nuovi di dare visibilità al proprio romanzo. Certo, questo fa quasi perdere un po' di fascino alla favola della pubblicazione, ma in ogni aspetto della vita bisogna impegnarsi per raggiungere dei risultati. Come ho detto, la pubblicazione non è il traguardo ultimo, ma solo il primo grande passo. E bisogna sempre fare il possibile per farlo arrivare al pubblico di lettori.


Il tuo primo romanzo è "Chrysalis" published by Tower Publishing. Where did you get the inspiration for the drafting of the text? What was the hardest part to write?
The history of Chrysalis has begun when, returning after a trip to Barcelona, \u200b\u200ba friend told me about a drag queen show he had witnessed and what had been fascinated by the person who had exhibited. Since that story I started thinking about the character of Roxanne. Somehow I wanted to "see" and then show that even I began to imagine writing it. I have done research on some of the topics treated, but for most of the text I have listened to my heart and tried to immerse myself in the characters to make them talk. There was a more difficult to write than others. Your novel is tied to very current and controversial issues such as transsexualism and homosexuals. What do you think about it?

Credo che quel che conta davvero è essere sempre se stessi e vivere i propri sentimenti o le proprie inclinazione come la propria natura vuole. Credo che, nonostante tutto il progresso, la società non sia ancora pronta ad accettare la diversità, ma che essa esiste e va rispettata. Credo che una persona che sente di essere racchiusa nel corpo sbagliato ha tutto il diritto di cercare di dare al suo corpo la forma della sua anima, perché ognuno deve poter raggiungere la serenità con se stesso e vivere la vita che vuole. E' una questione di rispetto, rispetto di se stessi, rispetto degli altri. L'amore ha tante forme e ognuno lo vive secondo la propria natura, seguendo il proprio cuore.

Questo romanzo è molto intimo e introspettivo che racconta come una donna tradita dal fidanzato possa rinascere. C'è qualcosa di autobiografico?
Nonostante io abbia diversi amici omosessuali, il romanzo non ha elementi autobiografici. Certo, ho cercato di immedesimarmi nello stato d'animo dei personaggi, paragonando un po' situazioni simili che avevo vissuto più o meno indirettamente. Ma ciò che di autobiografico si può individuare, sono solo piccoli elementi, piccoli ricordi che mi hanno aiutato a fare da cornice a tutta la storia.


Quanto sei legata a questo romanzo? Perchè?

The publisher, however (he had read from my CV that I had participated in some literary competitions), he wanted to read some of my lyrics and now had confidence in Chrysalis. It is now easy to find a small publisher who agrees to publish a rookie without asking for a contribution. The Eiffel invests in projects he believes in, and this is very brave as well as remarkable.


What do you think of the publishing scene linked to the newcomers?
Enter the world of publishing as a writer has allowed me to know so many things that I did not imagine. I met many authors and many newcomers who are second or third paper, but who may not have the same success as those who are released with major publishing houses. I discovered that there is so much talent among the Italian authors, but they remain little known or unknown because the publishers who have published can not afford much advertising. What are your future plans? Already have a novel in the works?
I dedicated the summer to fix my second novel. I hope to be able to publish within the next year. Meanwhile, keep writing, I have many ideas for the head, and to promote "Chrysalis." In this regard, I and my friend and fellow writer Marco Mazzanti we are organizing a series of presentations double in some Italian cities this fall. S: Eccoci. Questa è una domanda capace di stroncarti la carriera sul nascere =). Ovviamente sto scherzando: sono Stefano Procopio, un altro piccolo fungo spuntato nel magico mondo della letteratura. 21 anni, fiorentino di nascita ma con sangue emiliano. Oltre ad avere la passione per la scrittura sono anche un grande amante del cinema che tra l'altro sto studiando: teoria a Bologna e pratica qui a Firenze. Ma per capire davvero che tipo sono vi rimando alla biografia riportata sul retro del mio libro, non si può sbagliare ;)

Sei un autore molto giovane che coltiva molti interessi. Quando è nata la tua passione per la scrittura?
S: Se faccio uno sforzo di memoria, torno a sei anni, quando frequentavo la prima elementare e avevo appena imparato a leggere. Ricordo che per abbreviare i tempi di un evento che attendevo con particolare impazienza cercavo di distrarmi inventando e scrivendo storie che qualcuno dei miei compagni si divertiva poi a leggere. Tutto è cominciato da lì, e la mia passione è stata coltivata lungo gli anni della mia esistenza. Un buon merito lo hanno però anche i miei maestri che oltre ad insegnare la grammatica in modo corretto sapevano anche stimolare la fantasia con temi (all'epoca li chiamavano "testi narrativi") molto particolari.

Hai un processo creativo particolare? Cosa fai mentre scrivi?
S: Non ho un processo creativo particolare, ma forse per alcuni può essere curioso. Diciamo che mi vengono delle idee, semplici soggetti, e a queste idee do un periodo di prova. Io sono un ragazzo il cui stato emotivo varia continuamente, perciò è difficile che una di queste idee mi appassioni allo stesso modo dopo anche solo due settimane. Di quelle che "sopravvivono" comincio subito a studiare trama, risvolti, approfittandone magari per arricchire un po' la mia cultura se in alcuni ambiti mi rendo account that are specific knowledge. When was reflected in your first novel, The Wrath of Heaven published by Sassoscritto? Would you talk about?
S: Present the superhero images to be when you child? When you become this big figure is lacking and is often the case that you forget it. In my case the hero, whom he later took the name of Raekow is not dead, but was separated from me, has become a completely separate set of which I was involved in my imagination. Soon then came other requirements, needed to build the typical "hero's journey" - a term for free excerpt from the text of Chris Vogler. I must be honest: I do not remember the exact moment I stopped thinking about all this. And 'something unconscious that I had already begun in elementary school, I do not remember how it all started. Why did you choose the fantasy genre? And what do you think of the fantasy scene in Italy?
S: Actually I did not choose the fantasy (the fantasy that chose me - sorry, I'll stop). Seriously, I have never taken much of the fantasy scene, and still do not consider myself a fantasy writer. I'm not saying that "The Wrath of Heaven" does not meet this kind, mind you, I say it was an accident. I like to write about everything, but I prefer the stories of mystery and horror, perhaps because of the influence of his uncle Steve (Stephen King) or for the many films in this genre I've seen. As for the Italian fantasy environment, I admit that I began to observe it only when I found myself there too, and so do not think I could give concrete opinion. In recent times I read the work remarkable, one of the other two of my neighbors, but it seems to me that the Italian publishing is more interested in betting on us young people, perhaps with good ideas but with a style totally perfect, rather than on people who really deserve.

this your first novel is not just a fantasy novel but also a coming of age story in which we see the protagonists embark on an adventurous journey to find the murderess of their father but also of themselves. Why this choice?
S: First dicevo che mi occupo solo di storie che superano il "periodo di prova". Questa idea, non solo ha superato il test con ottimi risultati, ma mi ha assillato per praticamente metà della vita. Ho scritto la prima versione del libro tra i nove e i dieci anni, e come è comprensibile faceva ridere i polli. L'ho riscritta altre quattro volte, modificandone di volta in volta gli espedienti narrativi. L'ultima versione l'ho scritta a diciannove anni: finalmente aveva una forma che mi soddisfacesse. Ne vorrei approfittare però per chiarire quel "romanzo di formazione" che pare generare molti fraintendimenti o addirittura discordanze. I miei personaggi, o almeno i tre protagonisti iniziali, sono ragazzini orfani che hanno vissuto in una catapecchia fino al giorno where the story begins. S: Yes and no. There is little autobiographical. Indeed, often what they say to my players or the strong emotions they feel are the testimony of special people with whom I had the chance to talk ... At the same time ALL, I say, all the characters including the antagonist, have something to me (except the female ones, perhaps, for anatomical reasons more than anything else;)). They are the hidden side of my personality that I have an extreme in their construction. It must be said that in all the forums which I joined, I have chosen nickname "Raekow" which is the name of uno dei protagonisti, quello che un po' più di importanza. E' inesatto dire che mi rispecchio in lui, ma certo è che è diventato, con gli anni, il mio idolo...


Ti va di raccontarci la tua esperienza di pubblicazione?
S: E' in realtà la classica storia dell'esordiente che pubblica. Una volta finito di scrivere il libro, prima di tutto mi sono occupato di trovare qualche persona esperta che me lo correggesse e valutasse. Per fortuna avevo a chi rivolgermi. Dopodiché ho mandato il manoscritto a diverse case editrici. Ho valutato i vari contratti che mi erano stati offerti, ritentato, aspettato, riflettuto, fatto un giro di telefonate, e poi ho scelto la Sassoscritto, con la quale è nato un buon rapporto di amicizia.


Cosa ne pensi del panorama editoriale legato agli scrittori esordienti in Italia?
S: Come dicevo prima, gli esordienti sono messi allo sbando più per l'età che per l'effettiva qualità dell'opera. E' un peccato, perché molti di questi ragazzi avrebbero davvero possibilità di diventare dei grandi scrittori, se solo qualcuno si occupasse di migliorarli. Con questa manovra tra l'altro vengono danneggiati anche coloro che davvero hanno qualcosa da offrire. Spero di non apparire incoerente o addirittura presuntuoso dicendo questo, non è mia intenzione, also because they are exactly the same boat. What are your future plans?
S: I hope to write a sequel to my book. In this last period I'm investigating another subject which I hope will be my next novel. Also from next year begin the activities with the Golf Association Long dedicated to independent films. I will strive to emerge in at least one of the fields.

Holiday finished! Incentives and motivations



Ed eccomi qua, sono rientrato a lavoro dopo due settimane di vacanza..
Quest'anno purtroppo, per svariati motivi, niente mare!
Però, con un po' di organizzazione, sono riuscito a divertirmi e rilassarmi molto pur rimanendo a casa, qualche gitarella, qualche tuffo in piscina " i nuovi parchi acquatici degli ultimi anni sono davvero una bella oasi da queste parti", e poi le belle uscite a correre a qualunque orario!
Questo mi mancherà più di tutto!
Se penso che fino a ieri, a quest'ora, correvo lungo il canale Muzza all'ombra del sole del mattino schermato dagli alti alberi e nel più assoluto silenzio.. mentre ora sono qui, a lavoro..grrrr!!!
Si, mi mancherà molto!
Da oggi dovrò riprendere ad uscire la sera, prima di cena o al massimo qualche tardo pomeriggio non troppo caldo.. ma con le mattine, per i prossimi 11 mesi, domeniche a parte, ho chiuso!
